From the Coordinator: Your servant in our Fathers fields, Richard Stephens |
Dear Pastor and Members, There is perhaps no nation on earth that is in more need of the Gospel of Jesus Christ than is this lovely archipelago of 17,000 islands. Indonesia is the worlds fourth most populated nation and the worlds largest Muslim nation. It has been fractured by economic, political and religious turmoil for many years. Today, there is a strong indigenous church that is striving to grow despite the many problems, and God has been answering the prayers of His people, and their sacrifices, by sending times of revival to many places in these islands. God is now permitting us to play a part in one of those revivals as we plan for our third International Crusade in Indonesia. In July-August of 2000, we plan to return to Indonesia, this time, to the southeastern tip of Sumatra. We carry nothing but the Gospel of Lord Jesus Christ, but we carry it in the tabernacle of our own bodies to offer it to the people of the land that they may know the way of peace and eternal life. There are those who will say, "But it is dangerous to go!" Yes, and so was it for Paul and Peter and for our Lord. The fact is that in Indonesia, the fields are white unto harvest and laborers are needed. Will you pray to the Lord of the harvest and ask if you may be one to go? Your servant in our Fathers fields, Richard Stephens |
