We proposed a research-project nicknamed
The SCADA Project
in 1997. Actually, examples of a SCADA application in industry can be found
here for instance. The term SCADA
can be found for example in these
sites. A complete
SCADA system consists of many parts such as shown
here. An
experienced engineer in SCADA may look like this
guy for instance. Well, since our
country is in an economic turmoil right now, they call it "MONETARY CRISIS"
- but I don't think so - ..... this little project we were proposing got
no attention from anyone ... sorry.
Well ...... no, ..... finally in April 1998, I got a letter of confirmation
that this project is granted a funding by the
Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI)
.... Thank God ! Let's go to work !

Now, I am expecting to launch another research project to start in March 1999..... It is a cooperation with NASDA Japan in relation with a Japanese communication satellite COMETS.

Well, ....... it's too bad that this plan didn't work out, either. The Japanese finally decided not to come to Indonesia during the time that they thought would be hostile to the project .... The Japanese' Department of Foreign Affairs didn't allow the NASDA researchers and their equipment to go to Indonesia due to security risks..... We tried hard to convince these people that nothing would not happen at our place, but they didn't believe us ... I have to say to myself that I am not a lucky guy in research ... Two major research projects that I was involved in turned out "ugly" ....
Die hard huh? We now have a PLAN to build our labs..... to build our FUTURE. The ZIIIIIP file is available, too...

Welllll, it has been really a long time since the last time I modified this page. In my recent research projects, I won a grant to do a little investigation on the adaptive control system for non-linear plants. I came up with several examples of non-linear plants whose models can be found here.
