Technical Description
This demonstration unit facilitates the experimental investigation of the bending moment in a bar loaded with point forces. The section principle commonly used in mechanics can also be demonstrated. Through the use of a rigid, but sensitive to moment, low friction joint at 1/3 of the span and a dynamometer, it is possible to record the measurements directly from the bar. The deflection of the bar as a result of the travel of the load gauge and the horizontal alignment can be compensated and regulated using adjustment bolts. The bar is loaded with graduated sets of weights that can be attached at any point on the bar. The support rollers are equipped with ball bearings.
