Technical Description
The compact table unit has been developed for investigating mechanical control systems of up to 4th order. The unit consists of a traversing unit. The required position of the traversing unit is manually predefined. The optional insertion of an elastic coupling on the guide carriage and the switching of the motor characteristics changes the system layout. The error in the actual position of the carriage is measured mechanically and fed to the actuator motor after electrical conversion. An exciter of variable frequency and a digital frequency display also enable the frequency responses to be investigated. The amplification of the system and the constant of the oil attenuator can also be adjusted enabling further system parameters to be modified. Signals can be recorded using a mechanical chart recorder. All components are fitted to a base plate in a clear layout.
