EM 044 Forces on a Beam Apparatus Show data sheet (pdf file)
Technical Description
The unit enables various experiments and demonstrations from the area of statics on plane force systems to be performed. The reaction forces on a single span beam are investigated. The unit basically consists of a stiff beam that can be loaded at any point with the aid of weights. The position of the points at which force is applied are read off on a millimetre scale, the reaction forces generated on mechanical dynamometers. The beam is supported on two columns that can be slid as required on the aluminium frame, the columns are fixed in place using clamping levers. The unit is suitable both for laboratory experiments and for demonstrations.
