EM 047 Tension Coefficient Apparatus Show data sheet (pdf file)
Technical Description
The wall unit is used to investigate forces in a tripod as an example of a spatial central force system. The unit consists of a push rod and two tensioning chains to which a load weight is attached. The push rod contains an integrated dynamometer and consists of a threaded rod and an adjustment nut. The length of the push rod is adjustable, the rod is attached to the base plate using a block so that it can rotate. The retaining hooks for the chains can be slid along guides, spring balances indicate the tensile forces.
