Technical Description
This table unit is used to investigate forces on a jack that in this case represents a spatial central force system. The unit consists of two push rods and a tension chain. The push rods on the boom can be adjusted in length and have integrated dynamometers. These are connected together with an articulated joint and mounted on a roller slide. A chain facilitates different basic lengths of the boom and retains the ends of the two bars via a spring balance. The angle can be adjusted by changing the lengths of the bar and chain. The arrangement is loaded using a set of weights.
