TM 400 Apparatus to Investigate Hooke`s Law Show data sheet (pdf file)
Technical Description
This table unit enables Hooke's law to be checked in a straightforward easy manner. Helical springs are attached to a bracket on a metal stand, the springs can then be loaded using a range of galvanised steel weights and in this way extended. The extension can be read directly on the metal scale integrated into the stands. The spring constant can be quickly and clearly determined, and the effect of a series of springs on the spring constant investigated. In addition, it is also possible to observe the behaviour of simple spring-mass oscillators.
