Technical Description
The HM 140 Sediment Transport Flow Channel facilitates the comprehensive investigation of sediment motion. In addition to the channel, 2 different weir bodies as well as a bridge pile are included so that the behaviour of the sediment at these typical hydraulic engineering structures can also be investigated. The flow rate in the channel is determined using a measuring weir that closes the rear of the working section. From there the water flows into the tank before it is pumped back into the channel by the pump. In the inlet section of the channel there is an additional device for filtering out the sediment. A filling of sediment is not included.
