This table unit is suitable for performing the most important material tests. It is designed for tensile tests on metal specimens. A cross-member fitted to the base plate transfers the forces to the specimens. The specimens are retained using gripping heads. A threaded spindle that can be driven either by hand or using an electric motor places a tensile or compressive force of up to 2kN on the specimens. The test load is measured using a ring dynamometer, the specimen elongation with a position measurement gauge. A mechanical drum plotter is included for recording results on paper. The unit can also be equipped with a PC data acquisition accessory. Due to the clear, straightforward layout of all elements on the base plate, the student can observe all stages of the experiment with ease. |
