CE 115 Sedimentation Study Apparatus Show data sheet (pdf file)
Technical Description
Sedimentation is one of the oldest methods for mechanical separation of solid particles in a liquid phase. This benchtop system allows the simultaneous investigation and observation of sedimentation of solutions containing different amounts of suspensions. For that purpose, five graduated cylinders, made of transparent plastics, are mounted vertically on a backboard. To ensure optimal observation, the backboard consists of a diffusing panel that can be illuminated from behind. The cylinders are removable for cleaning, filling and mixing of the solid particles.
