Technical Description
CE 116 permits a clear observation and study of deep bed and cake filter processes. The unit allows the use of different particle materials. The suspension (water + solids) flows from an filling funnel via a flow meter to the outlet. A 2-tube manometer measures the pressure drop across the filter unit. The CE 116 requires a balance (e.g. CE 116.01) to determine the specific characteristic data of a filtration. The balance measures the mass of the filtrate over time. Corrosion-resistant materials are used.
