Technical Description
This large test frame is primarily intended for load tests on design elements from civil engineering and steel construction. The possible application for the test frame are almost unlimited. With its aid, e.g., struts, pillars, joiners and comparable components can be subject to compression or tensile loading. The test frame was specially designed for large components to facilitate testing in 1:1 scale. The design of the frame facilitates the rapid, uncomplicated set up of numerous experiments. The frame consists of the base frame, a support frame and a load frame that are both made of generously sized steel section. The base frame is fixed to the floor using anchors with threaded fittings. The tensile and compression forces are applied to the test specimens via the powerful hydraulic cylinder using a hand operated hydraulic load press. Data acquisition software is available as an accessory.
