Heat Pump with Pumpdown Control

Technical Description

This benchtop unit comprises components that are used in industrial heat pumps. All relevant measured values are displayed. The energy supplied to the compressor motor can be read on a kWh meter. A "pumpdown" circuit is included in the system. After the evaporator outlet temperature is reached a solenoid valve closes the inlet side to the expansion valve. The compressor continues to run and fill the collector with refrigerant until the high pressure cut-out activates. An environmentally friendly refrigerant is used.
A supply of cooling water is required.
