HM 163.42 Beach Simulation Plain Characteristic Show data sheet (pdf file)
Technical Description
The HM 163.42 accessory is intended to enable the user to investigate the behaviour of waves on a rising beach; the unit is used in combination with the HM 163.41 Wave Generator. The stainless steel experimental arrangement forms a smooth, impermeable beach. The inclination of the beach body can be continuously adjusted. In this way different steeply rising beaches are very easy to simulate. The experimental layout consists of a beach body, a mounting plate and an inclination adjustment bar with a locking bolt.
Learning Objectives / Experiments
· Investigation of the propagation of waves with varying water depth
· Investigation of deep and shallow water waves over a smooth, impermeable beach
· Investigation of different breaker types
