HM 161.33 Crump Weir with Piezometer Tubes Show data sheet (pdf file)
Technical Description
The crump weir is a fixed underwater weir and is fitted to the base of the chan-nel using the HM 161.54 Base Plate. The weir body has pressure measuring holes that, via transparent vertical pipes, facilitate the measurement of the static pressure in the weir over which the water is flowing and at the weir crest. Tubular seals made of plastic inserted in slots on the side of the weir body complete the experimental set-up. In practice, crump weirs are used as so-called low overfalls.
