SE 110.48 Experimental Set Plastic Bending Show data sheet (pdf file)
Technical Description
This experimental set is a supplementary experiment for the SE 110 or SE 111 universal testing frame. The set is used to demonstrate the behaviour of a bending beam in the plastic deformation region. The set contains a test bar made of steel that is clamped at both ends and loaded in the middle. A dial gauge is used to measure deformation. In this way the transition from the elastic to plastic deformation region can be exactly observed and determined. From the data thus obtained, a stress-strain diagram is plotted, this demonstrates the influence on the plot of the geometry. The SE 110.34 Loading Device is required to perform the experiment, this is not included.
