HM 225.04 Drag Force Apparatus Show data sheet (pdf file)
Technical Description
Using the experimental set-up in combination with the HM 225 Air Flow Bench, the drag forces on bodies in a flow can be determined. Various bodies are provided for the experiments, these include a cylinder, plate and wing. Furthermore the pressure profile of the flow around the cylindrical body can be recorded. The body is inserted in a measuring section that is fitted to the HM 225 test stand using quick action fasteners. A Pitot tube normal to the direction of the flow records the change in pressure behind the body in the flow.
