Gear Type Oil Pump Module

Technical Description

Gear pumps are often used as oil pumps in motor vehicles.
The pump is mounted on a base plate ready for installation, and is slid into the HM 365.20 and fixed in place. Hydraulic hoses are used to connect the supply module and the pump. The sensors on the supply module are connected to the pump. The pump is powered by the HM 365.

Learning Objectives / Experiments

In conjunction with the HM 365 and the HM 365.20, the following experiments are possible:
- Recording of pump curves
- Determination of the power requirement of the pump
- Determination of the hydraulic power output of the pump
- Determination of the pump efficiency
- Determination of the system characteristic and operating point of the
pump
