SE 130.01 Warren Girder Show data sheet (pdf file)
Technical Description
This WARREN truss girder is used as a supplementary accessory to the SE 130 table experiment. The members are joined together using joint discs. Seven of the bars are equipped with full bridge strain gauges for the measurement of force. In the strain gauge connecting box supplied, the offset error for the individual strain gauges is already compensated.
Learning Objectives / Experiments
· Forces in a WARREN truss girder
· Measurement and comparison of bar forces, checking using different methods (joint sectioning method, Ritter's sectioning method, Cremona's polygon of forces)
