Technical Description
The system comprises three modules that are joined together with hoses. The base module (cooling capacity 1.7kW) contains, along with the usual refrigeration components, a brine circuit with intermediate tank, and as a special feature, an ice store. In this way the cold can be stored over an extended period. The two other modules contain the wet cooling tower and the dry cooler. Various operating modes such as charging, discharging or bypass can be used. Of particular interest on this system is the usage of different liquids for heat transport such as refrigerant, brine and water, and the related heat transfer processes.
