Using this unit the layout and principle of operation of split systems can be demonstrated. Split systems are used in both new buildings and also in rooms that are to be retrofitted with air conditioning. They use physically separate compressor-condenser and evaporator units. The system includes a partition wall to which a commercially available split system air conditioner has been fitted on the front and back. 2 gauges are used to measure the refrigerant pressure. The system has 6 different operating modes and does cooling, heating and dehumidifying.
Learning Objectives / Experiments
- Demonstrator of a split system with 6 operating modes (cooling, dehumidifying, heating, fan only, automatic functioning and test mode) and 3 other controls (sleep, swing, timer to swich the system on and off)
Features
* Demonstration of a modern air conditioner with heat pump
