Technical Description
This trainer with a complete air conditioning system provides a comprehensive range of experiments on indoor ventilation engineering. It has a conditioning chamber in the control loop. The chamber is large enough for people to stand in, so it is possible for the students to investigate the effect of various climates based on their own perception. The system components (such as radial fan, electrical heater, steam air humidifier and refrigeration set) are all commonly used in commercial air conditioning and ventilation engineering. The system is operated using a DDC control processor that also has an RS232 interface. This facilitates automatic and manual operation.  
Learning Objectives / Experiments
With the system it is possible to demonstrate all operating states that characterise a complete air conditioning system:
- Heating of the chamber
- Cooling of the chamber
- Humidification of the air
- Application of the mixing line
- Investigations on human comfort
