Technical Description
The HM 163.35 Toe Blocks accessory is used together with the HM 163.32 Free Overflow Spillway Section and the 163.37 Spillway Dissipation Structure accessory sets. In addition, the HM163.54 Base Plate is required for assembly. "Toe block" is a term used for low overfalls that have openings. In practice, toe blocks are used to abate the flow and to prevent so-called underwashing. The base plate, spillway and dissipation structure are inserted in the flow channel first, before a toe block is fitted facing the direction of flow. The accessory set contains blocks made of PVC with triangular, rectangular and rhombic shaped toes. A block without openings is also provided.
