Technical Description
The Ultrasonic Flowmeter exploits the principle of propagation time measurement; here a measured section is created in a flowing medium, in this section an alternating signal is sent and received between 2 sensors. From the time difference between the respective propagation times, which are measured using very precise electronics, the flow speed and, if the cross-section is known, the flow rate can be measured. Temperature sensors can be connected to the unit; if these are used, the user can measure the thermal losses in a flowing fluid using the same principle.
