Technical Description
The water meter is inserted into a pipe connection piece. Shutoff valves are installed before and after the water meter to facilitate its replacement. This installation therefore corresponds to the standard procedure for surface-type water meters. The separation of the meter and pipe connection piece permits the proper flushing and pressure-testing of an installation according to DIN 1988, and also permits the simple replacement of the meter as a part of legally stipulated calibration intervals. The connections are designed as quick-action hose couplings (GEKA). The meter is mounted on a panel, which can be quickly and easily attached to the base unit HL 900 with turn-lock fasteners.
