Technical Description
This table unit enables the action of wave components transverse to the direction of propagation to be made visible. During this process, standing waves, wave reflections, the appearance of resonances, and the transitions between propagation media of varying density can be demonstrated. The unit consists of two sections each with two varying length oscillating bars, and a third section that contains bars of length that increases exponentially from one section to the other. In this way a continuous transition between media can be demonstrated. Each of the sections, which can be easily coupled together using clamps, is equipped with its own folding support.
