EM 040 Work done by a Variable Force, Vertical Effort Show data sheet (pdf file) Print page
Technical Description
This table unit is used to determine the work that must be expended to lift a given load with a variable force. The unit consists of a strong rear wall on which a fixed roller and pin as an attachment point are fitted. With the aid of a carrier, weights can be fitted to a cord. The load is hung on this cord with a loose roller. The stroke or drop of the weights can be read off with the aid of two millimetre scales. The scales can be slid as required. The unit is suitable both for student experiments and for demonstrations.
