Technical Description
The HM 163.43 accessory is intended to enable the user to investigate the behaviour of waves on a rising beach; the unit is used in combination with the HM 163.41 Wave Generator. The stainless steel experimental arrangement represents a permeable gravel beach; the surface facing the waves is slotted, underneath the slots is a layer of coconut fibre. The underside of the beach body is also made of slotted expanded metal resulting in the water being able to seep through the beach body. The inclination of the beach body can be continuously adjusted. In this way it is easy to simulate different steeply rising beaches.
