HM 161.45 Culvert Fittings Show data sheet (pdf file) Print page
Technical Description
The HM 161.45 Culvert Fittings consist of a PVC body that is equipped with 2 different pipe cross-sections: a semicircular and a rectangular shape. To make the channel body easy to handle on installation, the body is hollow. During the experiments, operation is possible with full flow through the cross-section (pipe flow) and partial flow through the cross-section.
Learning Objectives / Experiments
· Inlet losses in a pipe or bottom outlet
· Cross-section restrictions in open flumes
· Hydraulically good drain cross-sections
· Losses on outlet into air and under water
Features
Investigations on a culvert
