Technical Description
Determination of the centre of gravity of a body is one of the fundamental principles of mechanical engineering. The EM 042 can be used to determine the centre of gravity of various geometrical shapes experimentally. The instruction manual contains dimensioned drawings of the 7 steel plate shapes supplied. Therefore, the centre of gravity can also be determined mathematically.
The unit is designed as a benchtop unit and is intended for educational use.
