Universitas Hasanuddin accepted approximately 2.000 new students through the Non-Subsidized Enrollment Pathway (JNS) and Sport, Art, and Reasoning Achievements (POSK) also known as the Independent Enrollment Pathways, announced on 28 July 2016 through the Fajar and Tribun Timur newspapers.
Vice Rector I Unhas Prof. Dr. Junaidi, M.Sc. explained that the numbers accepted are the result of a series of selections on 10.440 individuals, 9.715 among them JNS, while 735 POSK.
“There is an increase of figures for those JNS registrants, accumulated to 2015,” stated Junaidi when met in his office, Wednesday (27/7) afternoon.
Junaidi elaborates that the 2.000 amount of individuals accepted is the accumulation of the remaining quotas of those that did not re-register for the National Selection of Higher Level Public Educational Enrollment (SNMPTN) and Joint Selection of Higher Level Public Educational Enrollment (SBMPTN), also added 30% of the Independent Enrollment Pathway quota.
According to Junaidi, those that failed the Independent Enrollment Pathway can re-register to attain tens of positions for the International Class in which the online registration would end by 6 August 2016. Unhas opened the International Classes for the Faculty of Public Health with one study program, while three study program under the Faculty of Economics and Business.
“Those that failed to pass the Independent Enrollment Pathway have a chance to be enrolled in the International Classes,” stated Junaidi.
Those that are eligible for the International class include 2015 and 2016 graduates. The pathway is also opened for anyone that has passed the SNMPTN and SBMPTN enrollment channels that wish to shift their study programs. But important to notice, that those admitted to the International Classes are not then eligible to move back to the regular classes.
