Hasanuddin University (Unhas) Faculty of Dentistry lecturer drg. Muhammad Ikbal, Sp.Pros., who is currently continuing his Ph.D program at China Medical University, Taiwan, became a speaker at the “2022 China Medical University (CMU) – University of Malaya (UM) the 3rd Collaboration Virtual Conference”.
The activity organized by China Medical University, Taiwan, Malaya University collaboration, Malaysia took place at CMU Campus, in Taiwan, on Friday (11/11).
On this occasion, drg. Ikbal raised a topic related to “Evaluation of Anatomic Factors in the Esthetic Zone for Immediate Implant Placement”. In his explanation, drg. Ikbal said that dental implant treatment is currently one of the most popular treatments because it can maintain bone structure tissue and has a survival rate of 85%-100%.
Furthermore, he added that the installation of dental implants must still be careful and requires good skills and knowledge of the anatomy of the jawbone by the doctor so that later there is no bone perforation during dental implant installation.

After the presentation of the material, the session continued with a discussion and question and answer session from the participants. This activity was divided into two sessions, where each session first began with the presentation of the speakers’ material and then continued with the explanation of the articles from the participants involved.
