Faculty of Nursing Opens for International Class

Universitas Hasanuddin (Unhas) officially open the International Class or International Undergraduate Program (IUP) in the faculty of Nursing. This program is part of the commitment to improve the quality of learning and efforts to support Unhas in achieving the World Class University (WCU).

The launching of the International Class of the Faculty of Nursing was carried out virtually through the zoom meeting application at 08.00 WITA on Monday (03/05).

Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Dr. Ariyanti Saleh, S.Kep., M.Sc., appreciated and expressed her gratitude to all participants. She explained that the international class is a follow-up to the Faculty of Nursing of Unhas, which had received international recognition from ASIIN.

This program is one of the strategic steps to make the Faculty of Nursing a centre for science and technology and compete at the national and global levels.

“The international class is also a form of our support for Unhas in WCU. We are increasing partnerships with other universities from both national and international levels, one of which is with Yokohama University. This is also an effort to provide and facilitate students for knowledge development,” said Aryanti.

Vice-rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ir. Muh. Restu, MP., officially launched the International Class of the Faculty of Nursing of Unhas. In his speech, Prof. Restu said that Unhas fully supports the initiative of each faculty to develop quality. The international class is one of the vital programs for Unhas’ commitment to WCU. Thus, currently, Unhas has 11 international class study programs.

“Nursing is the youngest faculty in our university, but it is committed to continuously improving quality in various aspects. This faculty has succeeded in obtaining ASIIN international recognition. We hope that the presence of an international class can expand student knowledge as well as global partnerships,” explained Prof. Approval.

The event was attended by several ambassadors, including the Indonesian Ambassador to Australia, the Indonesian Ambassador to Laos, and the Indonesian Ambassador to South Korea. After the opening, it was followed by a general explanation of the international class and the Faculty of Nursing.

The activity guided by Nur Fadillah, S.Kp., NS., MN., was attended by approximately 100 participants and ended at 12.00 WITA.
