The International Office (IO) of Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) successfully conducted another Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on finalising the 2025 International Cultural Program (ICP) Special Report. The discussion took place on Friday, 19 September 2025, at the UNHAS Secretary’s Meeting Room, Rectorate Building, 5th Floor.
Prof. Sumbangan Baja, M.Phil, attended the session. (UNHAS Secretary), and led by Dr. Andi Masyitha Irwan (Head of IO). Also present were members of the IO squad, including Dr. Saaduddin (ICP Program Manager), Dra. Harniaty (Head of Foreign Affairs Division and Immigration), Haniek Khoirunnissa, M.Sc., and Dr. Khaeruddin (IO Task Force). The IO Secretary, Muhammad Ridwan, M.A. joined later, as he first attended the send-off ceremony for Mandarin students departing to Nanchang University, China.
In addition, the meeting was also attended by IO administrative staff members, namely Nasrah, M.Hum.; Kumara Tungga Dewa, S.S.; Anugerah, S.I.Kom.; Erizal Zhafran Muyazzar Edison, S.I.Kom.; Risti Juliani; and Cahya Aulia Ramadhan, S.I.Kom. Each of them contributed in written narrations to complete the ICP report. This process is expected to be finalized within September before being printed.
Another key agenda discussed was the Hasanuddin University–Kanazawa University (UNHAS–KU) Summer Program, which will also be developed into a comprehensive report. Led by Dr. Saaduddin, the team distributed writing assignments to ensure the report is prepared as a pilot project model for foreign universities interested in organizing tailored programs with UNHAS. All narrations for the UNHAS–KU report are targeted for submission by 22 September 2025.
The FGD concluded with a pleasant gathering where participants enjoyed traditional Palembang cuisine, “Mpek-Mpek,” reflecting the spirit of collaboration and cultural appreciation that also underpins UNHAS’s international programs.
