The Faculty of Dentistry (FKG), Hasanuddin University (UNHAS), organized a virtual guest lecture for the Preventive and Dental Care in Children course on Tuesday, 28 October 2025. The session featured two invited expert from Malaysia — Dr. Norashikin Abu Bakar from the Centre of Paediatric Dentistry & Orthodontic Studies, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). and Dr. Soi Parannoy from MAHSA University. Both lecturers have long-standing collaborations in academic and clinical teaching in the field of dentistry.
During the session, Dr. Norashikin Abu Bakar delivered a lecture on “Preventive and Interceptive Orthodontics for Children.” The lecture was held via Zoom from 1:00 to 2:30 PM (Central Indonesia and Malaysia Time) and was attended by faculty members and students of FKG UNHAS. The interactive session provided valuable insights into pediatric orthodontics, emphasizing early preventive care and intervention in children’s dental health.
This activity was part of the Faculty of Dentistry’s international program, which requires every course to invite two international speakers to deliver topics aligned with the course curriculum. The event was arranged by the International Affairs Office of the Faculty of Dentistry, UNHAS, and reflects FKG’s strong commitment to fostering global academic collaboration and enhancing students’ exposure to international expertise in dental education.
