The International Office (IO) of Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) successfully conducted the Pre-Arrival Orientation (PAO) for the Hasanuddin University-Kanazawa University (UNHAS-KU) Summer Program 2025 on 26 August 2025 on Zoom Meeting. The event was attended by the Regent of Bantaeng, Muhammad Fathul Fauzy Nurdin, together with officials from the Bantaeng Regency Government, including representatives from the Department of Agriculture, Department of Health, Department of Marine Affairs, and Department of Education.
Also in attendance were eight participants from Kanazawa University, Japan, who will take part in the UNHAS-KU Summer Program, as well as the full team of staff from the UNHAS IO.

The orientation was officially opened by Andi Masyitha Irwan, S.Kep., Ns., MAN, Ph.D., Head of the IO UNHAS and an alumna of Kanazawa University. In her remarks, she emphasized the importance of the Pre-Arrival Orientation as a mandatory activity designed to prepare inbound participants for their academic and cultural experiences at UNHAS.
Following this, Regent Muhammad Fathul Fauzy Nurdin delivered his welcoming address, expressing his readiness to host and support the UNHAS-KU participants during their upcoming visit to Bantaeng. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to actively assist and ensure the success of the program.
The session continued with a presentation by the Person-in-Charge (PIC) of UNHAS-KU Summer Program 2025, Saaduddin, Ph.D., who provided an overview of the program. His presentation covered the schedule of activities, key preparations, and essential information on what participants need to bring and be aware of prior to their arrival.
The PAO served as an initial platform for participants to gain a comprehensive understanding of the program and to better prepare themselves before officially joining UNHAS.
