Student Research & Leadership Summit UNHAS–UiTM Officially Opens, Fostering Students’ Potential at the International Level

The Faculty of Pharmacy (FF), Hasanuddin University (UNHAS), in collaboration with the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia, is holding the Student Research & Leadership Summit from September 23 to October 3, 2025. This program serves as a strategic platform to enhance students’ capacity for leadership and cross-national research collaboration.

With great enthusiasm and commitment to developing student potential, the event was officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy (FF) UNHAS, Mr. Abdul Rahim, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D., Apt., at the Faculty of Pharmacy meeting room. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of international collaboration in shaping young pharmacists to be excellent, adaptive, and globally competitive.

Representing UiTM, Dr. Norkasihan attended the summit, accompanied by six student participants. In addition to participating in the summit, Dr. Norkasihan is scheduled to serve as an international guest lecturer at the Faculty of Pharmacy (FF) UNHAS. Her presence is expected to enrich students’ knowledge of pharmaceutical science development on an international stage.

The series of activities in the Student Research & Leadership Summit will focus on student research presentations, scientific discussions, campus tours with visits to facilities and laboratories at the Faculty of Pharmacy (FF) UNHAS, community service activities, and a variety of collaborative programs designed to foster soft skills and strengthen networking among students from both universities.

This event is expected to strengthen the partnership between UNHAS and UiTM and inspire students to continue innovating, broaden their perspectives, and cultivate leadership qualities to face global challenges in pharmacy.
