
The SEAADE-AIDITE Student Community Engagement Competition (SCEC) 2025 held from 7-9 November 2025 at the Taipei World Trade Centre, Taiwan. Muhammad Imran Taufiq and Anna Maria Ancilla Ningrum Elu, Faculty of Dentistry (FKG) Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) representatives proudly marked an outstanding achievement after successfully advancing to the final round in their first participation in this prestigious international event.
According to Imran and Anna, this Competition is part of the 36th South East Asia Association for Dental Education (SEAADE) Annual Scientific Meeting as one of the distinguished platforms for students, researchers, and dental educators across Asia-Pacific region.
After a highly competitive selection process, the top 10 projects were chosen from 26 submissions representing Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, and Taiwan. The delegation from Faculty of Dentistry UNHAS was honored with the opportunity to present their project, titled: “One Dentist, One Family (ODOF): A local Wisdom-Based Dental Health Education Model for Children and the Elderly in South Sulawesi”. Their project successfully secured a finalist position for their debut in this prestigious competition.

Imran and Anna shared that participating in the event was an extraordinary experience, not only as a competition but also a platform for learning and seeking future collaboration aimed at strengthening a community’s oral health.
