The Faculty of Nursing at Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) warmly welcomed a delegation from Okayama University on Tuesday, 26 August 2025. The visit was led by Professor Toshihiro Iguchi, accompanied by eight students from various health disciplines, including five from the field of nursing.

The delegation was warmly welcomed by the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Syahrul, S.Kep.,Ns.,M.Kes.,Ph.D and the Vice Dean for Research and Partnership Affairs, Dr. Takdir Tahir, S.Kep.,Ns.,M.Kes.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Syahrul shared the growing relationship between the two institutions. “Last year, the Faculty of Nursing received a visit from Okayama University, and our Dean also had the opportunity to visit Okayama. This time, we are truly happy to welcome everyone here at our campus,” he said. He further expressed hope that such visits would continue and strengthen academic cooperation. “It is a privilege to welcome all of you. We sincerely hope that more students from Okayama University can come to Faculty of Nursing UNHAS”.
Professor Toshihiro Iguchi also emphasized his hopes for continued collaboration, stating that he looks forward to future initiatives beyond student exchange programs such as joint research programs.

Currently, two nursing students from the Faculty of Nursing at UNHAS are participating in a hybrid student exchange program in collaboration between UNHAS and Okayama University. Furthermore, in October 2025, it is planned that two students from Okayama University will study at the Faculty of Nursing at UNHAS for one month.
At the end of the meeting, the student delegation from Okayama University had the opportunity to engage in short discussions and cultural exchange with student volunteers from the Faculty of Nursing UNHAS. This session provided a space for sharing experiences, building friendships, and having cross-cultural understanding among students.
