The latest data issued by Webometrics indicated that Universitas Hasanuddin ranks have risen from the last period (published in January 2016). The Webometrics data during January 2016 positioned Unhas in the 12th rank, meanwhile as of present time during the July 2016 issue, Unhas rose to the 11th position. It is further known, that previous figures released in July 2015, Unhas was still in the 19th position.

The number of registrants of Unhas in the year 2016 reach 118.673 people. Out of all that are interested in the university, only 4.972 new students could be admitted. Out of the total of individuals that registered, 34.882 people were through SNMPTN, 73.341 people through SBMPTN, and through the Independent and POSK pathways accumulate to 10.450 people.

As much as 4.972 new students from numerous faculties entered Baruga Andi Pangerang Petta Rani using white clothes, red alma mater jackets, with a representative of the new students been handed over the alma mater Unhas a symbol of welcome towards the newly enrolled students.
