Departemen Teknik Elektro Fakultas Teknik Universitas Hasanuddin dipercaya menjadi tuan rumah even tahunan ke-8 bertajuk The 2019 IEEE International Conference on Communication, Networks, and Satellite (The 8th IEEE COMNETSAT 2019). IEEE merupakan organisasi internasional para insinyur dan ahli teknologi dalam bidang elektro. Konferensi tahunan ini diselenggarakan oleh IEEE Communication Society (ComSoc) Chapter Indonesia.

Dalam rangka menuju Wolrd Class University (WCU), Universitas Hasanuddin terus melakukan persiapan-persiapan yang dibutuhkan. Hal ini terutama untuk memenuhi standar WCU. Salah satu langkah yang ditempuh adalah dengan meghadirkan nara sumber yang berkompeten.
