AUN-QA Assessment Results Published, Unhas Has 27 Study Programs with International Recognition

ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) has announced assessment results for four study programs of Universitas Hasanuddin, which was visited on January 9th, 2020. Based on the information from AUN-QA Secretariat in Bangkok, Thailand, the four program studies have officially fulfilled the AUN-QA standards in terms of the academic quality process.

The four study programs that attain the AUN-QA recognition:

1. Bachelor Degree of Study Program Accountant;

2. Bachelor Degree of Study Program English Department;

3. Bachelor Degree of Study Program Agrotechnology;

4. Bachelor Degree of Study Program Nutritional Science.

Therefore, currently as many as 21 undergraduate study programs at Universitas Hasanuddin have been accredited by AUN-QA or have been declared to have met the quality standards set by AUN. In total, Unhas now has 27 study programs with international recognition, including recognition from several other accreditation institutions, such as ASIIN, ABET, and ABEST21.

The Director of Communication of Universitas Hasanuddin, Suharman Hamzah, Ph.D, said that Universitas Hasanuddin continuous to propose other study programs to AUN Secretariat in order to quality assessment. Until Batch VI, Unhas succeeds in achieving 21 study programs for bachelor degree. It means around 34% of total study programs in Unhas that have met the international qualification.

“We have 62 study programs for the undergraduate degree. For Batch VII, 4 study programs have been approved by AUN Secretariat, which will be visited in November 2020. This proposal is a part of the Unhas strategic plan to encourage the international reputation,” said Suharman

The AUN-QA Assessment is based on 11 criteria that need to be completed by a study program. The 11 standards are 1) expected learning outcomes, (2) program specification, (3) program structure and content, (4) teaching and learning approach, (5) student assessment, (6) academic staff quality, (7) support staff quality, (8) student quality and support, (9) facilities and infrastructure, (10) quality enhancement, (11) output.

Congratulations to the 4 study programs that have just achieved recognition of meeting the qualifications and AUN-QA standards. (*)
