The Faculty of Nursing (FKep), Hasanuddin University (UNHAS), held a closing ceremony on 6 November 2025, marking the completion of the one-month inbound internship program for two nursing students from Okayama University, Japan. The program, which began on 6 October 2025, concluded successfully, highlighting a month of meaningful academic and cultural experience for students. The closing event was attended by the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Syahrul, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kes., Ph.D, along with the international affairs team, institutional preceptors, student volunteers, and students preparing for the outbound program to Okayama University next December.
During the session, the Okayama students delivered presentations summarizing their learning experiences and reflections from their clinical placements at community health centers and hospitals in Makassar. They expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality and valuable support provided by faculty members, preceptors, and fellow students throughout their stay.
In his remarks, Dr. Syahrul congratulated the participants for completing the program and commended their active engagement during the internship. He emphasized that this exchange is part of the Faculty’s ongoing commitment to promoting international collaboration and cross-cultural learning in nursing education.The atmosphere was warm and celebratory, reflecting the strong bond built over the past month between the Faculty of Nursing UNHAS and Okayama University.
This closing event not only marked the end of the 2025 inbound internship but also reinforced the partnership between the two institutions and paved the way for future academic exchanges and joint initiatives in the field of nursing.
