FDHU Sends 60 Students to 12 Overseas Universities Through the Enrichment Program

The Faculty of Dentistry at Hasanuddin University (FKG UNHAS) has marked a significant milestone in its internationalization efforts by deploying 60 students to the 2026 Enrichment Program, distinguishing itself as the faculty with the highest participant representation this year. The official send-off ceremony was presided over by the Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs of UNHAS, Prof. Muhammad Ruslin, DDS., M.Kes., Ph.D., Sp.B.M.Mf., Subsp.Orthognathic Surgery, at the Academic Senate Room of the UNHAS Rectorate Building on Wednesday, 10 June 2026.

As a flagship annual initiative spearheaded by the International Class Management of FKG UNHAS, the 2026 Enrichment Program is strategically designed to broaden students’ academic horizons through direct immersion in diverse international academic environments and healthcare systems. Beyond acquiring invaluable academic experiences, the participating students are entrusted to act as global ambassadors for FKG UNHAS, fostering collaborative networks and demonstrating the high caliber of dental education at UNHAS on the international stage.

The delegation will be distributed across 12 esteemed partner institutions spanning five countries. These strategic placements were meticulously selected to provide a multifaceted academic experience while fortifying existing institutional partnerships. Notably, the mobility program to Fujita Health University, Japan, is directly facilitated by the International Office of Hasanuddin University, reflecting the institution’s comprehensive approach to expanding global engagement opportunities for its academic community.

The 2026 cohort will be hosted by a distinguished network of global institutions, comprising Okayama University, Niigata University, Kyushu University, Fujita Health University, and Health Sciences University of Hokkaido in Japan; China Medical University in Taiwan; Universiti Malaya, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), MAHSA University, and International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in Malaysia; Chulalongkorn University in Thailand; and The University of Hong Kong.

Through this extensive mobility initiative, FKG UNHAS continuously reaffirms its overarching commitment to academic excellence. By providing substantive international exposure, the faculty is dedicated to cultivating globally competent graduates who possess the intercultural understanding, comprehensive perspectives, and collaborative acumen required to navigate and lead in the global healthcare landscape.
