The Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University (UNHAS), successfully organized a workshop entitled “Implementation Science, Co-Design, and Research Process Evaluation” on Wednesday, 1 July 2026, at the Institute of Quality Assurance and Educational Development (LPMPP) Hall, UNHAS. The workshop brought together lecturers and postgraduate nursing students to strengthen research capacity and promote evidence-based healthcare practices.
The workshop was officially opened by the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs of the Faculty of Nursing Unhas, Syahrul, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kes., Ph.D. In his opening remarks, Dr. Syahrul emphasized the Faculty’s commitment to advancing research excellence through interdisciplinary collaboration, innovation, and international partnerships. The event was attended by lecturers and students from the Master of Nursing and Medical-Surgical Nursing Specialist programs.
The workshop featured distinguished speakers with extensive expertise in implementation science and healthcare research, including Professor Dominique Cadilhac, Ph.D., and Dr. Tara Purvis, Ph.D., M.Sci., B.Physio, both from Monash University; Professor Rini Rachmawaty, S.Kep., Ns., M.N., Ph.D., from the Faculty of Nursing, UNHAS; and Andi Baso Tombong, B.S.N., R.N., M.ANP., a lecturer at UNHAS and a doctoral student at Monash University. The speakers shared valuable insights into the application of implementation science, the integration of co-design approaches in healthcare research, and the use of research process evaluation to bridge the gap between evidence and clinical practice, ultimately contributing to improved healthcare outcomes.
Throughout the workshop, participants engaged in interactive discussions on strategies for implementing evidence-based interventions, collaborative research design, and evaluating the effectiveness of healthcare programs. The sessions provided opportunities for lecturers and postgraduate students to exchange ideas and gain practical knowledge that can be be applied to future research and professional practice.
The event is part of the ongoing academic collaboration between the Faculty of Nursing, UNHAS, and Monash University, established in 2023. Through this partnership, both institutions continue to strengthen research capacity, promote international collaboration, and enhance the quality of nursing education through joint academic and research activities
