The Australian Technological Network (ATN) of Universities, a network that comprises of prominent universities of Australia, established grounds of research collaborations with Universitas Hasanuddin. The delegation led by Yosephine Ratna along with the Vice Consul General of Australia in Makassar, Anne Dickson, was welcomed by the Vice Rector IV Unhas Prof. dr. Budu, Sp.M.(K), Ph.D. in the Rectorate Building Unhas in Monday (8/8). The discussions took place also involved the Head of the International Office Unhas, Dr. Andi Amri, along with several Heads of Study Programs of the Faculty of Engineering Unhas.
ATN Universities comprises of members including the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), Curtin University Perth, University of South Australia, Adelaide, University of Technology Sydney, and Queensland University of Technology (QUT).
The discussions held were under the theme of “Developing Academic Partnership Opportunities Between the ATN Universities and Unhas.” It is hoped that the discussions constructed can form the basis for Unhas to send their students to conduct research with the Universities of ATN, which are known to have strong connections with industries. Through the partnerships, students can do research working programs that are partnered with industries in Australia.
“The research is held in five higher education institutions that are members of the ATN Universities, with partnerships established with industries,” stated Yosephine Ratna.
