In Community Service Program, the students will carry out activities in Soppeng District, the area which have been absent as the location of the community service program for almost 5 years.
The willingness to accept students of UNHAS in Soppeng District was initiated after the meeting of Dr. Hasrullah, M.A. with the Regent of Soppeng District, Kaswadi Razak, at Razak's office some time ago.
‘' The Regent asked Unhas to oversee development activities in the region of Soppeng District during the five years of his leadership, '' said Hasrullah, Friday (27/5).
Kaswadi Razak also expects the students to return the image of Soppeng District as the producer of silk in South Sulawesi. Many programs are discussed by the Head of Unit Community Service Program together with the Regent of Unhas. Moreover, Dr. Hasrullah, M.A also mentioned that students of community service program Uwill be sent to the village in Sopping District after the Eidul Fitri.
Until now, the number of the students applied for this community service program shows an increase which is from 3,421 in last year to 3,661 students this year. The large number of the students are coming from the Faculty of Engineering 618 people, Faculty of Social and Politics 471, Faculty of Law 421, Faculty of Mathematics and Sciences 382, ??Faculty of Humanities 289, Faculty of Economics 247, Faculty of Agriculture 243, Faculty of Maritime and Fisheries 194, Faculty of Public Health 162, Faculty of Medicine 119, Pharmacy 95, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine 62, Psychology 55 and Faculty of Dentistry 43.
