Tanri also explained if he was optimistic that the development of this BUMR would a major impact on the country's economy that is built from the bottom. Dependence on imported materials, especially in the food sector will no longer occur because the raw materials supplied by the people.
Through this BUMR, he said, the efforts that were based on democratic economy will be turned on. Because if the raw materials basis that sourced from the people's economy is not effective, the industry is also ineffective. In a discussion led by the rector of the Hasanuddin University Prof.Dr. Dwia Aries Tina Pulubuhu, the development of five commodities that discussed by several professors who are experts in their field. Five commodities which developed and will be the concern of Hasanuddin University within one to two years on the back in collaboration with the relevant parties. For example, beef cattle breeding Hasanuddin University that located in Maiwa Enrekang in cooperation with local governments in an area of 281 hectares. While seaweed development is managed by the faculty of marine and fisheries was in Takalar in cooperation with the cooperative of labor union merdeka Indonesia (Kospermindo).
