A lecturer from the Faculty of Dentistry (FKG) of Universitas Hasanuddin (Unhas), drg. Muhammad Iqbal, Sp.Pros., honorably became a speaker at the Taichung Indonesian Muslim Association (IMIT) on Sunday (21/02) at the Great Mosque of Taichung, Taiwan. drg. Muhammad Iqbal is currently studying his Ph.D. education at China Medical University, Taiwan.
This monthly lecturer was attended by the chairman and administrators of IMIT Taichung, Chairman of the Grand Mosque Management, as well as members of the Taichung Mosque management, Indonesian Migrant Workers (TKI) in Taichung, Indonesian students of Master and Ph.D. programs in Taichung, Taiwan.
Vice-chairman of IMIT, Husein Syahrul in his speech explained that the activities are carried out every month. However, this month was special because it took the theme of oral health and invited a dentist from the Faculty of Dentistry of Unhas. He hoped that this activity could provide knowledge on dental and oral health to all IMIT Taichung administrators.
In his presentation, drg. Iqbal explained the development of specialist dentistry in Indonesia and explained the importance of oral health from an Islamic perspective.
drg. Iqbal also said that this activity was helpful and needed to be done regularly because it indirectly increased friendship between Indonesian citizens in Taiwan, especially Indonesian citizens who work and live in Taichung City.
